FREE Youth Ice Fishing Derby January 23rd

The Wittenberg Sportsmen Club is proud to present the Wittenberg Sportsmen’s Club 2021 YOUTH Ice Fishing Derby, taking place on Saturday January 23rd starting at 8am. This fishing derby will be taking place at the Wittenberg Sportsmen Club pond at 90 Montoma Lane in Woodstock. 

This ice fishing derby is for anything 18 and younger, and of course is permitted if the ice is safe to venture out on. You can check out their Facebook event to follow updates regarding the ice conditions. Admission is 100% free and you do not need to be a member of the sportsmen club to attend.

If you or your children love fishing or maybe you’ve never have been fishing before, than this event is for you. They will have bait and even some ice fishing tip-up rods available if you don’t have your own equipment. Whether you want to ice fish or just enjoy the great outdoors around a nice campfire, come out and bring your family for a day filled with fun.

There will be prizes for the biggest fish caught and other categories as well. Sign in starts at 8am at the fish shanty, and the event will wrap up around 1pm.
